The Monthly usage option provides a summary of the current company’s SmoothPay usage and associated subscription pricing.
Opening Monthly usage
To review the company’s usage:
Click Tools on the navigation bar.
Select Monthly usage.
SmoothPay opens the Monthly usage page in a new browser tab.
Reviewing the usage information
The page displays information including:
Account name
Payment frequency and next billing date
Usage history
change in employee numbers compared with the previous year
change in company numbers compared with the previous year
the companies included in the account and their employee counts
the current Subscription Breakdown
Usage history
The Usage history chart shows the number of unique employees paid over recent months.
Hover the cursor over an individual bar to display the exact number of unique employees paid during that month.
Companies
The Companies section lists the companies associated with the account and the employee count recorded against each company.
This provides a breakdown of where the account’s employee usage is coming from.
Subscription Breakdown
The Subscription Breakdown shows how the current subscription price is made up.
It can include:
the applicable subscription items
price per item
quantity
subtotal
applicable tax
total
The usage used to calculate subscription pricing depends on the subscription frequency:
Monthly subscriptions — calculated using the previous month’s usage.
Annual subscriptions — calculated using an average of usage from previous months leading up to the renewal date.
