Bank tab (staff screen)

What the Bank tab contains and what the options, settings and fields do

The Bank tab is used to enter and maintain an employee’s bank account details.

Making changes

The only buttons available are on the interaction bar below the Bank account column.

These buttons allow you to:

  • + button: Adds a new bank account record

  • - button: Removes the selected bank account record

  • Edit button: Places the selected bank account record into edit mode

Options, settings and fields

Abbreviation

  • Type: Text field

  • Purpose: Records an internal code that also acts as a label for the bank account

  • Other functionality: Appears on banking report outputs

Account name

  • Type: Text field

  • Purpose: Records the name held against the bank account

  • Other functionality: Appears on banking report outputs and is included in some bank files

Account #

  • Type: Numeric field with automatic formatting

  • Purpose: Record the account number of the bank account, determines which bank account all, or part of the net pay will be paid to

  • Other functionality: Appears on banking report outputs and is included in bank files

Calculation

  • Type: Dropdown menu

  • Purpose: Determines how much of an employee's net pay will be allocated to the bank account

  • Other functionality: None

Particulars, Code & Reference

  • Type: Text field

  • Purpose: Records additional information as part of a transaction included in a bank file

  • Other functionality: Appears on banking report outputs
