The Recalculate template pays option is a troubleshooting tool that refreshes the stored template pay calculations used by SmoothPay.
It is primarily used when template pay information is displaying incorrectly, even though the employee’s stored template pay itself can otherwise be correct.
When to use Recalculate template pays
Use Recalculate template pays when template pay values appear inconsistent in areas such as:
a preview of an employee’s template payslip
the indicative template pay value shown in the Who to pay menu
For example, a template payslip preview may not show all of the values you expect, or the indicative amount displayed before loading an employee into the current pay may appear incorrect.
In these situations, the employee may still load into the payrun with the correct stored template pay. Recalculate template pays refreshes the stored and should correct any inconsistencies.
