Correct missing or excess earnings in the next normal pay.
When to use this method
Use this method when the original earnings have not already been corrected and the employee agrees to the later adjustment and timing.
Choose the earnings code
Use the same relevant work or allowance pay code as the original error.
Use the units or amount and rate that apply to the affected period.
Enter the correction
Select the employee in the next normal pay.
Choose one way to adjust the gross earnings using the relevant pay code:
Adjust the existing earnings-line total: increase the units or amount by the shortfall for an underpayment, or decrease them by the excess for an overpayment.
Add a separate adjustment line using the same pay code: enter positive units or an amount for an underpayment, or negative units or an amount for an overpayment.
Use one option for the correction, not both.
Add a payslip note explaining the correction.
Complete The pay process.
