The Overtime/RDO nested tab contains employee-level settings used by the Timesheet function to automatically process overtime or bank qualifying hours as RDO.
The name of this tab varies by jurisdiction. In some jurisdictions, it appears as Overtime/TOIL, and references to RDO may instead appear as TOIL, but the functionality is exactly the same.
Automatic overtime and automatic RDO cannot operate together for the same employee. Only one automatic method can be used at a time.

Making changes
The Overtime/RDO nested tab contains a detail panel only.
Click the Edit button to place the employee record into edit mode. Make the required changes, then select Save to apply them or Cancel to close the window without saving.
Options, settings and fields
For ease of reference, the available options, settings and fields are grouped into the following areas:

Automatic overtime options
These settings define the employee-level threshold used to convert ordinary time entered through the Timesheet into overtime.
The employee-level settings can override the default Basis and Ordinary time cutoff configured under the Options tab in the Settings screen.
Basis
Type: Dropdown menu
The available options are:None
Daily
Pay period
Weekly
Purpose: Determines the period over which the employee’s ordinary timesheet hours are assessed against the overtime threshold.
Dependency: Requires automatic overtime to be fully configured
Other functionality: None
Ordinary time cutoff
Type: Numeric field
Purpose: Records the number of ordinary hours permitted before additional qualifying time is converted to overtime.
Dependency: Requires automatic overtime to be fully configured
Other functionality: None
Balance goes to
Type: Display-only field
Purpose: Displays the paycode to which hours exceeding the automatic overtime threshold will be converted.
Dependency: The paycode is selected under the Options tab in the Settings screen, this field cannot be changed at an employee level.

Automatic RDO options
These settings define the employee-level threshold used to bank qualifying Timesheet hours as RDO.
Where the tab is named Overtime/TOIL, these settings may instead appear as TOIL basis and TOIL cutoff.
RDO basis
Type: Dropdown menu
The available options are:None
Daily above threshold
Weekly above threshold
Pay cycle above threshold
Constant saving
Percentage saving
Purpose: Determines the method used to calculate how qualifying Timesheet hours are banked as RDO.
Dependency: Requires automatic RDO/TOIL to be fully configured
Other functionality: None
RDO cutoff
Type: Numeric field
Purpose: Records the value used by the selected RDO basis when calculating how much time is banked as RDO/TOIL
Dependency: Requires automatic RDO/TOIL to be fully configured

Standard work pattern
These fields mirror the corresponding fields under Definition of a working week in the Employment nested tab.
They display the same underlying employee settings, so changes made in either location affect both areas.
One day equals
Type: Numeric field
Purpose: Records the number of hours considered to make up one standard working day.
Dependency: None
Other functionality: Provides the employee’s standard daily-hours value for payroll, leave and other work-pattern calculations.
One week equals
Type: Numeric field
Purpose: Records the number of hours considered to make up one standard working week.
Dependency: None
Other functionality: Provides the employee’s standard weekly-hours value for payroll, leave and other work-pattern calculations.
