The nested Misc tab contains employee-level options and settings that do not fit within the other nested tabs.
Some options may vary by jurisdiction. Refer to the relevant country-specific guide for information about any additional settings available in your payroll.
Making changes
The Misc tab contains a detail panel only.
Click the Edit button to place the employee record into edit mode. Make the required changes, then select Save to apply them or Cancel to close the window without saving.
Options, settings and fields
Required to work overtime?
Type: Tick box
Purpose: Records whether the employee is required to work overtime.
Dependency: None
Other functionality: This setting is informational only and does not directly affect payroll calculations or automatic overtime processing.
Truly irregular work pattern?
Type: Tick box
Purpose: Records whether the employee has a truly irregular work pattern.
Dependency: None
Other functionality: This setting mirrors the corresponding Truly irregular work pattern? option in the Definition of a working week section of the Employment nested tab. Changes made in either location affect the same underlying employee setting.

Rostered hours of work?
Type: Tick box
Purpose: Records whether the employee works rostered hours.
Dependency: None
Other functionality: This setting is informational only and does not directly affect payroll calculations.
Working proprietor?
Type: Tick box
Purpose: Identifies the employee as a working proprietor and disables their leave entitlements.
Dependency: None
Other functionality: Allows a proprietor or company director to be processed as an employee without accruing or receiving employee leave entitlements.
Payslip password
Type: Text field
Purpose: Records the password required to open the employee’s password-protected PDF payslip.
Dependency: The payslip format must be set to PDF under the Payslip tab in the Settings screen
Other functionality: The entered password is applied when the employee’s PDF payslip is produced. It does not apply to non-PDF payslip formats.

Truly irregular work pattern information button
An information button appears beside Truly irregular work pattern? while the area is not in edit mode.
Click the information button to view the same explanatory information available from the corresponding setting in the Employment nested tab.
